6,000 x $1.40 = $8,400. Where can you buy a house with $8,400 deposit? (ignoring CGT on the share sale profit.)
Could she have been better off just keeping the BRN shares and waiting until they grew to a figure that could cover the whole house purchase, not just the deposit?
