I think there are just a lot of people who have been waiting to smugly call the peak, having assumed we are in a similar situation to the last blow off top.
Hypothetically if you think the price movement has been driven to some degree by big fish it would sense for said aquatic accumulators to back off if retail FOMO buying was jacking up the price too quickly. There'd be a point where you decide to sit back, wait for retail to realise the buy pressure floor has disappeared and that the sky is falling etc etc then start accumulating once the FOMO has dropped back closer to baseline.
I guess we just have to wait for broker reports from those who are willing to share them.
