another thing worth considering is even if you did this trade and you need to set aside the tax. if you did this transaction in January, you could have the tax money still in the stock untill you have to pay your tax bill. a lot can happen in 6 months, so that money could be earning you more money before tax time comes and you would have to sell more/less depending on what the SP is at the time.
