    @Element85 - if you are keen to do the SMSF then remember that when you sell the AusSuper holdings the CGT is "only" 15% or 10%.

    When you're still working and growing your super, the investment earnings generated by your super are taxed at a maximum rate of 15%. But if the earnings are capital gains from an asset owned through your super for more than 12 months and then sold, the tax on the gain is effectively reduced to 10%.

    So this might be a little disappointing but if it provides the flexibilty you want long-term then the short-term pain might be worth it. Particularly if you want to heavily gearto BRN for the time we hit Uiux's minimum $15b or roughly $8.00 a share). Not Advice! Seriously, not advice! My wife and I rolled super into a SMSF in a simple, low cost arrangement (not advertising or recommending, name starts with e and also has superfund in the title) because we wanted to focus on a small number of largely Australian shares with a focus on growth. We took the sales hit so we could have the flexibility.
