This hate toward shorts is just lack of knowledge and understanding of market structure. Majority of large runs and moves are partly driven by shorts including this one. Shorts have been soaked and used as liquidity.. every squeeze results in an price expansion phase.
They have their place, majority of experienced short sellers are excellent long traders also.
At the end of the day it’s just another tool in the toolbox to make money.
