My thinking on all the shares that are being purchased overseas are not being purchased for trading but are being secured for long term gains. This would mean to me that each and every day the available units are constantly being reduced. So even though the daily units are low, but over a short term the numbers taken off-line will be substantial.
Another theory I have is would the large cross trades before and after the market opens/closes in Aus be from trading houses accumulating throughout the day to cross trade to their brokers/buyers in other countries?
Just a couple of thoughts that I have been considering.
