Hey mate - don't be so hard on yourself - it's just money, it's not real, it's a human construct and nowadays it's just 1s and 0s in a database somewhere. That's what I tell myself anyway ;-)

Nobody went poor making a profit is a massive cliché - but clichés are clichés for a reason, they are almost universal truths.

At the end of the day we have to sell sometime, otherwise what's the point? The money you make has to actually improve your life and the lives of the people you care about. No point being dead in a box with millions of shares in BRN at $10. Pretty much everyone I know who receives an inheritance cares so much less than the person who busted their arse to build up the balance in the first place.

A mate of mine invested a little, made enough profit to buy a couple of split system units for his house and has no regrets about selling. That was back before BRN passed 50 cents. He made his life better, his daughter has a warm room in the winter - sounds good to me.
