Yes, large corporations are managed usually by career professionals not the original founders. People being people, have their own interests ahead of the company.
Is the executive looking to jump ship in the next year?
Is he building an empire in his department?
Is he just a yes man looking for a promotion?
Is the correct decision going to lower his bonus?
In Kodak case, is it going to damage existing sales?
