Human Resource Director Laguna Hills, CA USA

The Human Resource Director’s primary role will be to lead the development and implementation of the company’s strategy on how we hire and nurture our talented team of people. We are seeking a hands-on HR professional with a wide range of skills including the ability to develop policies and build and expand our team, all while managing the day-to-day work. The primary objectives for the HR Director are as follows:

  • Recruiting & Onboarding – Assist internal teams by standardizing and managing the entire onboarding process from recruiting to orientation of new team members. Design policies and strategy around position requisitions, hiring requirements, and talent acquisition. Build a team to support the ongoing and critical need to reduce dependency on external recruiters.
  • Performance Management – Establish a formal performance management program by designing and implementing policies and procedures to measure team member performance against company, departmental and personal goals. Use that program to identify and reward top performers while providing support and additional training where needed. Advise management on appropriate metrics, industry standards and best practices. Automate the program through use of Insperity Performance Management tools or alternative solutions.
  • Compensation & Benefits Strategy and Management – Use market data to establish appropriate annual salary and compensation levels for each position by location. Lead the development of company benefits program to ensure we are providing the benefits most important to our team. Develop strategies to expand benefits as the company grows in order to attract and retain top notch talent.
  • Compliance – Ensure that we meet or exceed all federal and State of California employment rules and regulations. Establish or improve upon existing corporate governance policies to ensure we maintain a safe, positive, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Go above and beyond the requirements to expand on an already positive culture to making it a world-class one.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience with recruiting, compensation & benefits management
  • Effective and clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to work with employees throughout the company
  • Strong computer & software skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, experience with HR programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or another relevant field
  • A fun, positive, upbeat person who can get excited about the world of artificial intelligence, even if you have no idea how it works!

  • Experience with recruiting for technical roles
