DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN HISTORY

Consider two interesting Black Swan events of the past and howthe technology exponentially grew out of small seeds.
The date is December 17, 1903.The Wright Flyer was the first successful heavier-than-airpowered aircraft.

Then just 44 yrs later......
17 Dec 1947–A mere 44 years to the day that the Wright brotherstook to the air for the first powered flight of 12 seconds and traveled120 feet at Kitty Hawk, NC, the Boeing B-47 Stratojet strategicbomber takes to the air for the first time. The Boeing B-47 Stratojetwas a long range, six-engine, jet-powered strategic bomberdesigned to fly at high subsonic speed and at high altitude to avoidenemy interception. The B-47’s primary mission was to drop nuclearbombs on the Soviet Union.

What advancements in technology in just a short time!
My father had this experience of time & advancements. He was born in 1924 ,he took a horse & buggy to school, fought in W2 against the Japanese and later in his 60-70s watched Space shuttles take off on routine missions to the ISS and do space walks!
Amazing changes!

For those of us under 30 yrs old what will we see in changes in computing, chips, spaceflights etc before we are 60 or 70 yrs old?
Everything has accelerated.
