Start-up Alley

Purpose

Start-up Alley is an opportunity to showcase your innovation to Defence in an area dedicated to showcasing innovation. It offers a new platform to promote and engage with potential consumers which hasn’t been available in a Defence event environment before!

Situated within the ADSTAR Exhibition Hall, Start-up Alley will be visited by delegates from international and local business, government, researchers and fellow entrepreneurs.

You will be given the opportunity to publicise your start-up on stage within the Hall, with a short presentation to the audience highlighting your cutting-edge technology, business idea, product or service which will provide benefit to the defence sector.

Who should apply?

We are looking for start-ups that are ready to go and have:

• Vision – what are your start-up’s objectives and how are you going to achieve them?
• Scalability – can you deliver your product or service to 100 or 1 million customers?
• Traction – do you have a proof-of-concept, existing sales and customers, funding, investors and partners?
• Differentiation – how does your offering disrupt its marketplace, and what is your value proposition and vision for growth?
• Defence Capability – what do you have to offer that can support Defence capability into the future?

And are from the following Industries;

• Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
• Augmented & Virtual Reality
• Biotech
• Cybersecurity & Privacy
• Space
• Robotics
• Hardware
• Software
• Other

If you are offered a space in Start-up Alley, participants are required to meet all costs associated with their travel, accommodation, exhibition and presentation costs, and insurance. Approved applicants will be offered a Start-up pod at a discounted rate.
