Simple answer is other companies are seeing value in Akida as it stands. Imagine what it will be like when future generations are released?
The real tell here is that some of BRNs competitors are investing in SiFive, namely Intel who have their own product in this space. all the other investors would know this as well and are now aware of the capabilities of Akida.
As BRN is basically at the cheap as chips range for these big players, I would be surprised if their wasn't M&A activity on the horizon, considering this is a straight forward commercial deal.
