I've seen this type of price manipulation before. Basically pump it up high, then dump it, then make it daily to weekly volatile. The aim, not so much to make money, because it costs a lot to buy up and sell down. But lts more to make the price volatile and therefore less attractive to retail investors. Institutions don't like retail investors.
Given the religious like holdings of some of BRN investors, I think this has been an extreme and costly process for whoever is involved.
The aim though is to get retail investors out and then have stability for the solid growth that is expected to come with revenue being reported. The institutions know this is coming and they don't want you to be a part of it.
