The penetration of neuromorphic computing enables the production of energy-saving and self-learning chips.
  Since access to a cloud is not possible in space, these chips are of particular importance for space travel or on other celestial bodies
.NASA has been testing the Akida chip from Australian company Brainchip for more than a year.
  Not only does it consume less power, but it also has a self-learning on-chip function.

The self-learning function is particularly important for unmanned vehicles, whether in the air or on the ground (eg on the surface of the moon or Mars).
  New semiconductors are also required for certain applications in space travel, for example non-volatile memories based on spintronics, since magnetic components, in contrast to electronic components, do not lose their effectiveness as a result of exposure to radiation.
