Just an observation or two about the shorting on TLX:
- today's close at $5.19 is the highest since 25 Feb 22
- on 25 Feb, the outstanding shorts were 2.65m
- as at ASIC's latest report to 30 Jun, the TLX outstanding shorts were at 11.08m, a 4 month increase of 8.43m shorts
- any of those outstanding shorts taken out between 25 Feb & 30 Jun (maybe averaging between $4.20 & $4.40) will now be underwater at $5.19
There is well over $50m worth of TLX shorts which - hopefully - will be starting to cause some concerted pain to the shorters if the current TLX 7 week 46% rise from the mid-May $3.55 low continues, particularly on any solid news. (Normal rider though - never try to understand or underestimate shorters!)
