Don't be too upset about a consolidation in this situation! That's exactly what the handle on a cup and handle is about. Shake out the loose hands and get their shares into the hands of accumulators and fresh hands looking for higher prices, which allows for the run you see after a C&H.

If a price runs too quickly without a healthy consolidation, a nasty pullback is all but inevitable, because regardless of the fundamental value, many people are just too eager to lock in profits, and if a run gets ahead of itself and too many sellers take action, the price falls too far too quickly and contagious panic sets in. We'll get to around 90c more quickly by having nice consolidation patches in between here and there rather than panic selling spooking the market and making people fearing imaginary skeletons in the closet etc.
