There might be some short term fluctuations, however, long term it's going to be full steam ahead.

I'm not willing to gamble for short term gains. I'd rather keep on holding and collect capital gains discounts. I cant see more than a 10-20% deviation in price, this isn't enough to offset capital gains taxes and even then I'm certainly not skilled enough to pick the top and bottom.

Resultantly the rest of the world is abandoning climate change dogma in the face of hydrocarbon restrictions... it'll be a brave government who continues to push the "end of coal" message. Note that Europe's green crusader Germany has done a complete 180 this last month and is now drilling for gas and is approving coal mine expansions. Just google it, mate.
