I think the rationale behind this is simple, right now China is buying up majority of Kaolin from Australia and then turn it into HPA 3N and make OK quality batteries. There has been a lot of research done in China to make 4N and 5N products, but their Kaolin reserve is drying up. We are a resource rich country, but selling raw material is only making us peanuts, we are sitting on a gold mine but selling them cheap as dirt. So why don't we make our own HPA so that we can supply not only China but also the rest of the world, and making a decent profit in doing so. What do everyone else think?
