The sole reason I sold Macquarie was to put a deposit on a house. It was not a reflection on the stock at all. Sold $45 worse off... cry me a river. I picked up a massive parcel of MQG at $80. It went to $220 and I sold at $180 to buy a water-view house from a distressed seller at 20% below appraised value in one of the best locations anywhere in the developed world - I got the deal of a lifetime.
