It wasn't some revolt by the villages over conditions or wages etc, armed rebels stormed the village at 2am in the morning firing guns and scaring the bejesus out of everybody.

Given the reputation of the rebels and what they do to villagers, most of them fled (go back and read news reports of the time). The army was contacted to restore order as soon as possible - kind of happens everywhere people with guns take over something.

The army requested help in getting there, Anvil complied. To assert anything more than Anvil was trying to help bring order to the situation as fast as possible to protect the village and their interests is completely wrong.

Kilwa happens to be the village where a large portion of Anvils local miners live. If you think Anvil would somehow gain by having the army shoot them up you're off your head.
