Grain trains continue to feed into GNC's two export terminals in Victoria.

Overnight, a standard gauge train ran down from western Victoria to Portland, arriving at just after 0830 AEDT on Saturday 6 January. Another of the same gauge is loading at Oaklands NSW and will later head down through Yarrawonga and Benalla to the Geelong Grain Loop.

A third standard gauge train appears to be loading the golden stuff at Warracknabeal on the Hopetoun line while a broad gauge Pacific National train is sitting at Quambatook presumably doing the same.

Considering the carry-in figure and given the good harvest in Victoria but the poor one in NSW, it'll be interesting to see if whether there's any exportable surplus. It'll be significantly lower than from the 2022 crop: the question is 'how much lower?'
