'HC' contributor Portsmouth has said soil moisture levels remain good for east coast graingrowing areas, but NSW and Victoria have had some hot days in recent times.
With the planting season fast approaching, during the next week, showers and in some a 'possible storm' is forecast for many NSW localities over two to three days, whereas in Victoria's cropping areas, typically it's just one day of showers (which may or may not fall over particular paddocks, and may be less than one millimetre in some cases if they result).
As an urbanite I can't make reliable weather predtctions but perhaps NSW is looking better at this extremely early stage. Conditions however can quickly alter.
