In Victoria, Horsham in the Wimmera has had 7.8 millimetres and Hopetoun 7.4mm in the 26 hours to 1100 AEST on Tuesday 4 July, while Walpeup in the much more marginal Victorian Mallee has seen 5.2mm.
Yarrawonga in the northeast has by contrast only had a bit over one mm, but it benefited from 80mm in June 2023 so I doubt growers would be complaining.
So while far from a flood, it's great to see this drizzly type rain given that the southern state has already enjoyed good rainfall around planting time.
