- I would not like to guess exactly as dont have the knowledge of planted acres anyway - good areas east of Newell are apparently looking good and good farmers with good soil in North West who got planted may still achieve say 2t per ha even irrespective of what happens next week -rain next week would sure those yields up and some may bump up to 2.5t per ha or late crops may be able to do more. East of Newell in in the North and in good areas around Gunnedah and Tamworth may pull 3 to 3.4t per ha . barley, especially planted early may well do better.
