Whow, let's analyse this statement "don't have the business model, technology or capabilities to back up their claims".
Business model - essentially sold as an IP with ongoing royalties...many cannot get their head around the "IP" and think it is some kind of intangible entity because their is no inventory like a physical chip. However many people does not realize that the computing world is becoming miniaturized. The CPU computer has many parts of many different companies including the CPU chip and GPU graphic card. You can say the CPU chip and GPU graphic card is an "IP", so companies like Intel and Nvidia have really been selling their "IP" to be incorporated into computers. The future "motherboard" will be essentially a SoC...yes, miniaturized into a tiny silicon structure ("chip") with many tiny components of which "IP" like Akida will serve as the "CPU/GPU" as we know today on the motherboards of our desktops and laptops...so, an Akida neural network on a SoC is no different than an Intel chip on a motherboard! This is the precise model that has made Intel chips, Nvidia graphic cards, ARM silicon architecture, Cisco network platform, Microsoft Windows etc.. ubiquitous. The beauty of all this is that Brainchip is the first mover and has a solid lead with the ecosystem that it has set up.
Technology - one of only a handful of "pure" neuromorphic edge AI platform and even less commercially available...an award winning platform for embedded IP...the most scalable, adaptable and compatible edge AI platform...and of course, endorsed by many big players...cannot get bigger than ARM and Intel to back their claim in the technology! Now that AI is here and evolving rapidly, neuromorphic computing based on the human brain's architecture and function is the only logical direction that technology is going. If you look at the projection of how Akida will evolve from its founders, more complex learning, inference and even memory will be available on Akida's neural network...like the ape brain evolving into a human brain, its all about evolving the number, complexity and communication of the synapses...remember no other platform comes close to the number of synapses that Akida has!
Capabilities - I would say just ask the CEO or CTO from ARM, Edge Impulse, Mercedes, Prophesee, NVISO, SiFive, ISL, Intellisense, Teksun etc...it's all there reported by many here on HC...it's undeniable!
So whoever wrote this article is completely ignorant so hopefully you don't miss out by listening to ill informed articles
