BRN and the big players such as NVIDIA are not in competition. They compliment each other.
The big players and BRN operate in different segments of the industry. The big players version of AI at the Edge has a costly and time consuming journey to the Edge. Most data current data is suited to this ATM.BRN's version of AI at the Edge (AKIDA) is all on the chip so avoids a trip to the cloud (ie AKISA is in real time) and together with being event based saves power.
Much of the growth in AI at the Edge is expected to require all on chip processing (eg AKIDA type function) to achieve real time results on low power use, eg Vehicles and Health. BRN's problem is that the demand has not yet arrived. Its expected to arrive, but when?
In the meantime all they can do put the business in the best possible position for when it arrives.Its the when that has the market spooked ATM. AKIDA 1000 was released around mid 2021 and GEN 2 released recently based on suggestions and requirements from potential clients testing AKIDA 1000.
AKIDA works but the market just has not arrived yet.
When it does and gains traction the big players will want in - BRN will need to still have 1st mover advantage.
