Now days, maybe 30% own a house, usually on a smaller piece of land, another 30% own an apartment or unit, and the remainder rent. Add to that there’s more dual parent incomes, or in many cases single parent households…

Simple solutions. Tax land heavily, return natural resource profits to citizens, and you can remove all other taxes. All, and also government.. Switzerland are a good case in point for a country that have part time government that are loved and praised..
