The way I see it and I'm only being conceptual...
if you can process at the edge (off cloud) but still maintain a link to include cloud input, you get the best of both worlds with no dependency...
again just considering, would need to see relevant application but seems to correlate with other news around partnership with Google and ability to earn revenue off software (a huge amount of revenue at that)
