4DS may be sharing information with the big players now - but waiting on a success at 20 nm to put the for sale sign up.

Any hypothetical sale process that say, started today, would probably complete as PL6 was coming out of the oven. A successful fabrication at 20 nm would substantially derisk the tech for an acquirer and also increase the value of the IP for 4DS - so why not exercise a bit of patience and take it to 20 nm.

I'd think that any enthusiastic acquirer that submitted an offer today would make the offer conditional on a successful 20 nm fab.

So why not wait 3 more months, have everything tied up in a nice bow and "turnkey" for the acquirer.
