I appreciate many people are complaining about the decline in the AGY share price, and whilst it's undoubtedly frustrating / anger inducing for holders who are sitting on major losses, they need to bear in mind that the declines are not exclusive to us or other lithium aspirants on the ASX .

The Albemarle share price has also fallen 42% from highs of $334 in November to $194 today, and it even hit a low of $172 a couple of months ago which was a 48.5% decline.

Albemarle's, and SQM's, brine operation is what we should be comparing ourselves against given they are brine producers in LATAM.

Unlike AGY, Albemarle are globally diversified and have been making money hand over fist for years and continue to do so today.

Admittedly Albemarle and SQM are in Chile which has its own set of problems with the government, but the current government will be long gone before their current contracts are up for review.

Albemarle are flush with cash, and they have been and will continue to acquire additional to quality resources in tier 1 jurisdictions.

They also have a $23B USD market cap, but have about $2B in cash, so there is some additional context there.

I think, taking emotion out of the equation, the current AGY share price is reasonable given the extended delays.

I know this won't win any friends, but that can all change with one good announcement (10ktpa permit), and the company could have new all time highs with 2 good announcements.
