The beauty with modern 3D oil seismic is the fact that it looks for movements in the liquid hydrocarbons caused by gravity (simple explanation) unlike other minerals like gold stuck in rock it has huge advantages and accuracy. I'd guess in order to take the most accurate survey it has to do multiple angle shots. I'd hope though that it's finding something extra juicy that continues through to our block. This be getting exciting
