Wet season in the cap hasn't really kicked off till Jan-Feb for the last 8-10 years.
Most areas remain accessable and creeks don't flow till Jan/Feb so there should be no issue with MMI working through till the end of Dec.
Only real risk is the potential cyclones building early with the hot weather/water temps.
Mind you, seasons change so we never really know
