Cannot find where they reported the AKE costs, profit and loss. Did I miss it?Yes, that's terrible price. Even at the latest prices, 5.5% spod from SMM is quoted US$850/t at the moment. I can't imagine what's the current price Mt Cat. fetches, as the average price of the quarter was only $763 for its 5.3% spod.
Likewise the carbonhydrate sold price was pathetic. For the whole quarter that price is equivelant to about CNY 97k/t. But the Chinese spot price, even for industrial grade, did not fall below CNY 110k/t until mid December.
Now I can only think the Chinese are not manipulating the prices. Their spot prices are actually far better than many realised.
AKE operation was probably losing money already.
