Docs point about the CRP raised my interest and made me try to reason it out. To be fair a CRP <3 is normal, and a CRP of 10 is elevated but it is only a small elevation. If I was looking for an infection or some other acute inflammatory issue, then the doc is right I wouldn’t look twice at a CRP of 10. However, a CRP of 10 does indicate that there is inflammation present. It may be, and I am purely guessing, that the relevance of this is chronic inflammation. As in a mild degree of inflammation that is persistently grumbling along but which can ultimately cause ‘scarring’ of tissue. I liken it to pimples that cause scarring. The pimple is a small amount of inflammation, but if it persists long enough it can lead to a scar. The ‘scarring’ is what I presume leads to the heart failure. Again I’m purely guessing. DYOR.
