Don't count with 'all" shorts as a real short.
Some as you know just hedge to adjust positions... For example (if u may be not aware_).. Some funds have a mandate to be no more than lets say 1,000,000 in small shares.as soon the prices start move up the number maybe come to 1,100,000. but they don't want sell ,they believe in the company and to keep their mandate they short 100,000 means the real balance is 1,000,000
Of course in announcement day if the share starts jump, they close their short stay "out of mandate" make a profit and back to short (but that just IF the announcement is not good enough, bacause if is good enough they change the mandate from 1,000,000 to lets say 1,500,000 the new profit and keep as it its without short.

for now im more than happy with 45% profit in 45 days
