And we now can see that there were another 2m shares shorted early last week on the high volume days of Monday and Tuesday when the price was knocked down from around $A1.40 to $A1.15.The shorting activity is not always accurately reported, nor is it reported for the correct day (as we've seen in the past when reported shorts are higher than the total volume for the day). However, the trend is clear - shorts were hitting the price quite hard early last week and they were a significant portion of the total days' trading - each day was about 4m shares in total, of which half is churn - so increasing the net short so aggressively had a big impact on the price.
Now, who was doing all the buying?
