the barkley fire is back in the news with the highway closed beyween the homestead and avon downs police station
it seems the fire is heading towards queensland - that is further away from Alpaca - hopefully our drilling contractor who is on standby is located west of barkley homestead and not in Mt Isa - thus to avoid going the long way around to access Alpaca Hill
mt lamb is likely to be under fire threat, thus the restoration works from 2022 drilling is likely to be paused as the station will be fighting the fire
