What on earth makes you think that Dr West could make the decision alone to buy real estate estate for a publicly listed company.
I can imagine that Jonathan did most of the work involved in the purchase as he is a go getter.
However, with such funds involved, this would have had to have been a decision, for and by the whole board, to invest in this very strategic property. This enables the company to save huge amounts
of money by cutting their own cores and making the decision as to which
cores are assayed.
The cores have to be stored somewhere, and maybe we could store for
other companies as well to gain some income to offset costs.
Remember, we have a very competent geo on site in Mt Isa to make
assessments regarding the cores, which then saves on assay costs by not
over assaying the whole core.
I believe certain people wanted to assay the entire cores which would
have been incredibly expensive for a first drilling.
Also, the transportation costs are greatly saved by not having to
transport the cores huge distances at a time when transport is a major
problem in Oz.
I have never been to Mt Isa but I would love to go up there to see what
