Some, including Ford and Toyota are even looking at Hydrogen as an option.
One thing that isn't talked about enough whether it be lithium, hydrogen etc is the dangers of such in a car crash. Yes petrol is an obvious danger but think about how the paramedics, fire brigade etc will have to have equipment and training to deal with lithium batteries or hydrogen fuel cells in a car crash.
Sorry for the off topic for this thread but it's something that really surprises me about how little the safety aspect is talked about. We hear constantly about the environment but little about the dangers.
