Todays trucking fleets are made up of many rentals or hire. They will adapt, like present many trucking companies don’t own the trailers they are like the containers hired and transferred as required, battery packs could be exchangeable.
We the human race adapt and change with needs. A simple battery pack could be exchanged quickly at a roadside venue whilst changing shift drivers and freight services can move on.
These issues will be overcome, just like trucking diesel to destination so batteries could be transported to destination and await prime movers just like filling up with diesel except battery exchange. As for long haul out on the Nullarbor well plenty of sunshine out there to charge those batteries via solar energy.
Awaiting the next Prime mover to drop in and exchange the power pack.
