It’s a great concept but it’s something I haven’t seen as far as asx equities go.. I’m happy to be pointed in the direction of a listed company that has used this combination of instruments in the past..
Joint ventures are tricky instruments as it is without the complexity of one being used for an underwritten capital raise..
Are you talking about a “quasi” rights issue? That cherry has already been bitten with the renounceable rights issue from 2021.. I don’t think a rights issue would be the right course of action for any form of capital raise at the moment for a number of reasons..
I’m pretty sure there would be legislation in the corporations act and likely asx listing rules that would prevent offering holders of options to purchase fully paid ordinary shares at a discount in a capital raise..
As far as underwriting goes, that’s a whole other kettle of fish..
The company still hasn’t issued any of the securities that they could under listing rule 7.1, this is the most likely vehicle to use in order to raise capital when it’s required..
