Hi All,

So, I was on the Strike portal and decided to look at some of the historical wholerock samples from the Tarlton fault in the eastern Jean Elson tenement. Below are the results from the 5 rock chip samples taken back in 2016.

Using the wholerock data from these 5 samples (shown below), in a relatively makeshift way, I decided to see if any of them fit the IOCG/IOA model presented in Louisa Corriveau presentation. While no single sample is definitive, they are close and all paint an interesting picture of the area in aggregate. Samples TB16MVM003 shows the jump in Cu, U, Ag, Au, Bi while TB16MVM004 taken in close proximity to TB16MVM003 shows a jump in Fluorine which is often seen in hydrothermal mineralizing systems, such as IOCG’s and IOA’s. TB16MVM001 taken north along the fault line shows a decent spike in Pb with U, Bi and an association to REE's (table below)


I also found a recent paper published in 2023 with some geochronologic results around the Aileron Province. For reference the Lucy creek fault runs through the centre of the original 2 Jean Elson tenements and all 3 tenements straddle the Jervois, Tarlton and Bonya Domains.

A separate Geochronology UPb sample TB16MVM004, which previously noted a higher fluorine content in the whole rock sample above, showed an age dating of 1741 Ma (sample taken near the Tarlton fault shown below)
