Every day now technological advancements in range so much so no doubt in my mind batteries will put my mind at rest in the Simpson Desert I just did a trip in the Pilbara must have passed several hundred road trains all fossil fuels - and people commented city folks don't understand how reliant we still are on fossil fuels. But only back five minutes and I see electric truck orders around the globe that are staggering - so I have to accept its happening at a rate we don't yet understand. Electric trucks and aircraft are a reality.
But batteries for firming capacity are a joke -we need new clean coal fired power stations or more gas to transition or we are headed for an energy crisis.
