In the 24 hours to 0900 AEST Saturday 11 May 2024, Coonamble, Dubbo and Narrabri were among NSW graingrowing areas to enjoy 20 millimetres of rain, while Gunnedah and Moree had around 10mm. Girilambone had almost 28mm.
Hillston in the NSW Riverina had an amazing 47mm but Temora just 1mm, showing the variability of rainfall. Narrandera though had 15.6mm.
Notwithstanding input costs and demand - considerations that growers will be highly aware of - the rain should assist in building a bit of confidence in what's normally GNC's largest state for receivals.
