1)
I haven't seen that happen before - not at a premium for an ongoing development project adopted mid development
others won't spend the time to develop further a technology that is not proven to an application ( PHs' own words ...'prove it out' ) - that's what the big 4/5 will tell him....suspect they have already
Even Adesto had market and revenue when it was acquired by Dialog ($500 mill) - then Renesas and then GF.....

Closest I can point to is SKHynix picking up 3DXP and 're switching' it to a competitive memory / leading solution
but it was not in development as a memory - it had failed to return a profit on volume for intel due to no adoption case - was only as good as solutions already out there so no case to drop current memory line in favour of it ( remember micron walked mid point through development with intel for this reason - and they were right! )

my view doesn't mean it won't happen but i highly suspect it will be low ball ...low low ball $

a recent post showed NXP acquire Kinara 1 and 2 + IP for $350 mill and kinara is top 10 tier with customer revenue in production

2) yes - the value of the sp should climb as the 'stage' catalysts are met successfully - any miss step and - well we know what happens.

and yes - the current bod should be out there demonstrating what they have ( PL4 and 5) to industry
we know they are not - they should be doing lots of things but hey it is what it is for now.


just my opinion based on industry benchmarks - nothing else to go on
