As it is the weekend you might find yourself with some free time to do some general background research starting from the understanding that Brainchip and Tata Consulting on 14.12.2019 gave a live demonstration of a robot reacting to gestured instructions from audience members at a trade show.

The first link is a paper from 2023 where researchers are exploring gesture recognition for robots using SpinNaker only to be disappointed with the outcome.

They do not mention Brainchip or AKIDA.

You may be left with an understanding as to why Brainchip’s AKIDA technology from AKD1000 to Pico invented by Peter van der Made and made practical by Anil Mankar has managed to capture the European Space Agency’s focus away from SpinNaker.
