Okay so this talk about IP deals and Partnerships are two different things.

IP with Renesas and Megachips once they buy it the do as they please and when they please. They have the ability to use it with out any advertising of the owner other then usually pay a royalty.

VVDN is a partnership the have built the edge box.
many of the other ones your pointing to are collaborative partnerships on a design possibly an end product or some specific task chip. They both go to the customer and sell the design once sold the they talk money. They do not buy IP as then tmthey are taking on additional risk.

Microchip will likely endure buying the IP if they are happy and have design Ideas to go on their own.

Tata would also buy the IP iMO
Edge impulse has the IP through the collaborative efforts so when a design get to the customer likely they will either pay per chip or have to purchase the IP.

The main difference in IP like megachips and Renesas is they have control of what they make.

There have been a few IP sold off through Megachips hence we saw some on the financial and I believe there wi be one last payment in this quarter report
