I think it is more that the customer Infineon OnSemi and Microchip have spread the risk.
They told BRN great let's partner and get a product ready then we either pay the IP cost in unit sales until the price us recovered and royalty. So its not necessarily a change in model but they decided possibly not to put on risk and capital which is limited for many.
There is nothing to report as if all are under NDA and no financial agreements are finalised based on the value of the product nothing will be set.
I the big picture I do not think this slows the time to market of a product just the time to pay. This is how I see it.
