There may be a dedicated big buyer who has been accumulating (and there probably is) but extra volume is being generated by a handful of side bets from people who have jumped aboard to play the pip-cycles (buying low and selling high - to make 1 to 2 cents on each cycle).
So, while the volume looks impressive, a fair chunk is the same money going round and round.
It's not a bad strategy but too tedious and risky for my liking.
