We're a $700Millin dollar company. Why can't we manufacture 2 thousand Akida2 chips for crissake and hand them out and increase our chances.
Yes, it will cost $5million, but what's that in the scheme of things?
The only arguments I have heard against this is that
1. some company is (or might be) taping out a chip with akida2, and it would be against their interest for us to produce a freely available akida2 chip in opposition. or
2. every company wanting to use akida2 in a chip will want it to be customized so much that there is no single chip that would satisfy all the possible developers.
I'm not sure these make sense.
As I say. I like the confidence posters have, but the directors need to justify their decision to remain IP only.
I was surprised at the last remuneration vote as much as anyone else. I was shocked. But if the board can't make an announcement before the AGM then they should at least justify their decisions to the shareholders to remain IP-only.
